Grade 9 Geography

Examine the amazing features that Canada has to offer. Learn about the different landforms and climate regions in the country as well human geography topics such as immigration and settlements. This course is available at the locally developed, applied or academic level.

Forces of Nature: Physical Processes and Disasters (CGF 3M)

Explore the physical occurrences on our earth including earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes and impact of the solar system on our earth. Prerequisite: Grade 9 Geography (can be taken in grade 10)

Travel and Tourism: A Geographic Perspective (CGG 3O)

Learn about the travel and tourism industry and explore countries around the world. Prerequisite: Grade 9 Geography (can be taken in grade 10)

World Issues: A Geographic Analysis (CGW 4U)

Examine global challenges that focus on current issues and the ways these challenges affect us and the world around us. Prerequisite: university/college (M), or university (U) course in English, Social Science and Humanities or Canadian and World Studies

The Environment and Resource Management (CGR 4M)

Investigate the complex and fragile ecosystems we live in and the pressures human activities place on them. Prerequisite: any college (C), university/college (M), or university (U) course in English, Social Science and Humanities or Canadian and World Studies

The Environment and Resource Management (CGR 4E)

Explores the human influence of human activities on our natural environment and responsible methods of resource management. Prerequisite: Grade 9 Geography

World Geography: Urban Patterns and Population (CGU 4M)

Examine cities around the world and the social, political, cultural, environmental, and economic factors that shape them. Prerequisite: any college (C), university/college (M), or university (U) course in English, Social Science and Humanities or Canadian and World Studies

Environmental Leadership Program (ELP)

Explore outdoor environments to learn about ecological principles governing the functioning of natural ecosystems. This program requires an interview and application process
