Very Important Person

Each student will be the V.I.P. for one week during the school year.

On Monday, the V.I.P. will be announced to the class and posted on the button on the left of this page labeled "weekly V.I.P. The student will be invited to lead the class (optional) in the morning meeting and team building activities each morning.

On Friday, there will be an opportunity for the student to have "15 Minutes of Fame." The student will be asked to tell some information about themselves that Ms. Da Silva and peers may not know. The student will go home on Monday with a template to help them write this and bring back on Friday. The V.I.P. will also be able to demonstrate a talent or interest, invite a special guest to our class, teach the class a new skill or providing a unique experience for the class. Some examples from previous years include: musical, dance and gymnastics performances, visits from family members and learning some vocabulary in another language. Following the 15 Minutes of Fame, the V.I.P. will be given positive letters from peers.
