D.A.R.E. stands for Delegates Attaining Raw Experience and it has existed at Banting for 33 years now! But what does that mean? It means that D.A.R.E. is a beautiful experience for the entire school population - even those who don't attend are touched by the beauty of the event!

Each year, 160 students spend 2 days together at Pearce William's Camp learning how to become leaders, participants in life, caring members of the Banting community, and great friends with each other through a variety of invigorating, fun, and meaningful activities. When most graduating students look back on their years at Banting, their most memorable event is often D.A.R.E... it is life-changing!

If you are interested in being a committee member, a staff member (either skill-builder or kitchen staff), or a delegate, be sure to apply by the due dates.

Delegates make up the majority of the people attending D.A.R.E. and are in grades 9-12. Delegates are those who come to D.A.R.E. to participate in the fun events and have us take care of their every need. Staff are those who help make D.A.R.E. awesome during the event. We need 24 skill-builders to run activities and to be responsible for their group of delegates. We also need 8 kitchen staff to help keep all of us happy and fed. NEW THIS YEAR is the job of photographer! We will be having 2 photographers at our event to participate and capture all the amazing moments of our time together! All staff must be in grades 11 or 12 (or 12+) and applications will be due by September 19th. PLEASE CLICK THE APPLICATIONs & FORMS PAGE TO COMPLETE THE GOOGLE FORM APPLICATION.

Committee members are those who are committed to working year-round to make D.A.R.E. happen. We have 4 members who are elected for the entire year to do all the leg work that makes D.A.R.E. amazing. Committee positions are open to anyone in grades 11 & 12 who have already participated in a past D.A.R.E. and the applications become available right after our event this year! Make sure you listen to the announcements and apply in November!
