About me
My name is Chris Underhill and I am the Department Head of Technology here at Central Elgin. I took over the department in 2014. My primary philosophy leading our department is a safe, fun, enjoyable experience for all types of learners.
I primarily teach Manufacturing Engineering at CECI with a 25 year background as a Tool and Die maker.
My wife and 2 kids are local community members. I have lived in Port Stanley since 1998, growing up in Sparta prior to that.
I love to surf, snowboard, play hockey, swim and thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer.
I run the Environment Club and Ski and Snowboard Club here at Central and also coach the Field Hockey team .
About me
My name is Joseph Conlon, and I am the Construction Technology teacher at Central Elgin. I recently made the transition from jobsite to teacher (2018) and I'm not looking back!
I am very passionate about the trades with over 13 years experience as an Electrician. I have also worked as a Plumber's apprentice and have completed various renovations on many houses from concrete to drywall.
My goal is to make the experience you have in my classes to be unlike those outside of the shop. I want to see students out of their seats, moving around and creating things they can be proud of. Safety comes first but having fun is a close second.
As a newer member of Central Elgin's faculty I look forward to getting involved with the soccer and volleyball teams.
I currently live just up the road in London with my partner Laura and husky pup Ella. In my free time I like to record my favourite songs where I play each instrument and sing. I might not be a rockstar (at least not yet) but it's fun to pretend.
