WHAT & WHY?
According to EQAO "the OSSLT measures whether students are meeting the minimum standard for literacy across all subjects up to the end of Grade 9. Successful completion of the literacy test is one of the requirements to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. All students across the province write this test."
WHO?
WHO?
Every grade 10 or previously eligible CECI student will write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).
WHERE & WHEN?
WHERE & WHEN?
All students will complete the OSSLT AT CECI. Students who have not written the test or that were unsuccessful will write the test on November 27, 2024.
It is very important to be in attendance for the test as there are only limited chances to write in future years.
HOW?
HOW?
The OSSLT will be completed entirely online. Students will be given a Chromebook when they arrive to their test room to complete the test. Individuals with SEA equipment can use their own assistive technology in discussions with the LST teachers.
