Banting's Social Sciences & Humanities Department strives to prepare all learners with 21st Century Learning Skills. Students will have the opportunity to practice critical thinking and problem solving, innovation, self-directed learning, collaboration, communication and global citizenship.

Students in Social Sciences & Humanities develop their planning, processing, problem solving and decision making capabilities through exploring issues around individual human behaviour, social structures, relationships, power dynamics, human nature and human conditions, food and nutrition, housing, personal resource management, and fashion.
