Student Success

Some of the ways the Student Success Teacher will support students:

• Supports through key transition points from elementary to secondary school

• Developing positive relationships with students

• Monitoring attendance

• Communicating regularly with parents

• Ensuring that class work is completed

• Working one-on-one with students on assignment completion

• Helping students develop effective work and study skills

• Monitor the transition from Grade 8 to Grade 9 for each Student Success Student

• Track progress of each student throughout the semester at progress reports, midterm reporting, and final report

• Working on credit rescue/recovery
