About Me

Hello! My name is Melanie Steffy, and I am a 5th math grade teacher at Governor Mifflin Intermediate School. This is my 3rd year at GMIS! When I was in 4th grade, I dreamed of becoming a math teacher, and now my dreams are my reality! Feel free to check out the information below to learn more about who I am.

Education

I graduated from Ephrata High School in 2010, and obtained my Bachelor's Degree at Millersville University in 2014. I majored in Middle-Level Education with a concentration in mathematics. I am currently working towards my Master's and STEM endorsement at Wilkes University by participating in the Instructional Media program.

Personal Life

I was born October 2, 1991 in Ephrata, PA. My husband and I got married in 2014, and we live in Denver. Our 10 niece/nephew will be born in March 2018. Some of my passions other than my faith, family, and friends are traveling, basketball, annual beach trips with my family, and watching sports. I am a Philadelphia sports fan, except my husband brain-washed me into becoming a Green Bay Packer's fan as well! Also, I love the outdoors, especially going on hikes, hunting, and fishing. I am looking forward to getting to know all of my students this year as well as them learning more about me!
