As part of your 10 week semester we will host a Local Food Celebration Feast directly following our Ecology presentations. In preparation of this feast we will have multiple meetings during which we will start to develop our plans for this feast as a group. This feast will be our culminating event for our ASI semester. All family and friends are invited...anyone you wish to be there is welcome to come, we appreciate getting a head count as soon as possible. You will also come prepared with a token from your ASI experience that will serve as a focal point for your reflections about the semester. This could be a poem, a painting, an object, a food, etc., basically anything that holds meaning for you and your experiences.
Additionally, the 10th week of our ASI experience will be our local food challenge. This means that all the food we eat that week will be sourced from within 50 miles (including all food served at the Celebration Feast). Students are encouraged to describe to those present at the feast what they learned by sourcing a 100% local meal.
