The Sustainability Appraisal analyses the sustainability issues facing Goring. It considers the development options and their strengths and weaknesses, the Plan Objectives and Policies and their critical importance to the sustainability of the village. The Sustainability Appraisal describes how the Plan is in general conformity with the International, National and Local obligations and policies. The Sustainability Appraisal is necessarily more of a technical and detailed document than the Plan document.

The first full drafts of the Goring Neighbourhood Plan and the Sustainability Appraisal were made public and available to all residents and statutory and other interested bodies and stakeholders for the Regulation 14 Consultation process which took place in November and December 2017.
