News from the office

We recognize that providing holiday gifts for your children can be especially challenging during difficult economic times. To support our families, we've compiled a list of local and regional organizations that offer direct assistance with gift-giving for children.

If your family has a need for help and you would like to be considered, please fill out the attached forms with the sizes, needs, and wants of all family members under the age of 19. Occasionally, clothing is available and correct sizes are most helpful. Return forms as soon as possible or by THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5th, 2024  at the address noted below. Please provide proof of Gorham residency (driver’s license, bill, piece of mail, etc.) If you are found eligible for assistance and there are sufficient sponsors available to cover the requests, then baskets will be available for pick up sometime during the week before Christmas. You will be contacted to schedule a time for pick up.

If you have any questions, please call the town clerk at 222-1670

Applications have closed for the 2024 Season.

Due to a high volume of applications for both children (ages infant to 12) and teens (ages 13-17) and limited volunteers, we’ve closed applications for now. Thank you for your understanding. If we gain more volunteers and are able to reopen the applications, we will post on this page.

Referrals must come from non-profit agencies & organizations who have registered.

As the holidays approach, we want to share community resources for families who may be interested in enjoying a meal with others. Several local organizations and businesses are offering festive holiday meals in a warm, family-friendly setting.
