Work-Based Learning

Work-based learning is a structured educational program which provides students with instruction both at the school and an employer worksite.  Work-based learning experiences help students build the connection between classroom and potential future careers, while becoming career and college ready.  Students begin the program in the classroom by exploring careers, as well as receiving soft skills training prior to worksite experiences in professional environments.  Student work experiences involve first hand interactions with industry or community professionals in a real workplace.  Students are matched with a worksite partner and complete regular job tasks.
