In this course, students will learn step-by-step techniques regarding the mechanics of accounting. Topics include the analysis of business transactions, recording transactions in a variety of journals, and the preparation of financial reports. Students will receive an introduction to the accounting field. Students will apply accounting principles to real world concepts. Students will work through the financial accounting cycle for various types of organizations including sole proprietorships and corporations. Students will also be able to analyze business transactions, record transactions in journals, and prepare financial reports accordingly.
