2020-2021 Information for ALL MUSIC STUDENTS

This has been one of the most difficult years to plan for. Many things have continued to change day by day. Thank you for your outreach, concern, and patience as my team and I have worked to develop appropriate plans for the school year. Thank you to all of our student leaders, parent volunteers, and administrators for their hard work and continued guidance. It was nice to see many of you at school registration over the last few days.

Today, I am pleased to announce that MUSIC CLASSES ARE HAPPENING IN GOODING! Here is what you need to know:

1. We are offering a series of day camps for returning students to assist with correct course placement and school preparedness. Detailed information and registration for each camp can be found below. Camp registration is included with the STUDENT RETURN APPLICATION. Our three featured camps are 1.)Choir Camp on 8/11 2.)Band Camp on 8/12 3.) Percussion Camp on 8/13

2. We are asking ALL students to complete the STUDENT RETURN APPLICATION. This will help us to know what your involvement will (or will not) be for this upcoming school year. Thank you for completing the form for EACH student that you have had in the music program. We need this info even if you are not planning on returning to the music program this year. This will help us to make important decisions regarding course placements, class locations, safety procedures, and even school musical equipment usage. 3. We will not be offering our annual required informational meetings for returning students this year, but will instead provide you with a digital way to submit your students information, required documents, and apparel orders. Payments will still need made in person. More information on this process will be made available very soon.

4. We are still hosting an open house event on Wednesday, August 19 for NEW band students. Welch Music will be onsite at the event for equipment and supplies purchasing. Detailed information below.

5. We are doing our best and navigating through a lot of uncertaintity. Our team will continue to work on several logistical issues in addition to remaining transparent in our communications with students and families.
