Ms. Nikki Nerada - Principal

I am beginning my 19th year at Gonzales ISD... all 19 of my years have been servicing students at Gonzales Elementary! Among so many others, I have poured my heart and soul into our community and look forward each year to celebrate our successes.

I am beginning my 3rd year as principal of GE. Prior to that I was a classroom teacher from 2002 - 2014, an assistant principal from 2014 - 2018, and currently the principal since 2018! It's been amazing to watch grow GE through my positions.

Kids are my life. My passion is to see children grow and develop. And I am very proud to be a part of the children's lives of Gonzales, Texas!

I have two sons - 15 and 12 years old. They are why my heart beats each day. I live my life wanting to be better for them. We love spending time fishing, playing all sports...but baseball is life...cooking, hanging out at the beach, and just being together! My favorite hobbies are reading, napping, and being at the pool!

Mrs. Michelle Turek - Assistant Principal

Hi, I am Michelle Turek! I began my career in education over twelve years ago in Houston as a high school English teacher, middle school English teacher, middle school instructional specialist, elementary school assistant principal, and elementary school principal.

Originally from Moulton, my family and I have moved back home and are excited to be back in the area to serve the community. I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with my bachelor's degree, the University of Texas-Arlington with my master's degree, and am currently in the doctoral program at Baylor University.

I am honored and excited to serve in a dynamic district in which students achieve and believe in themselves and their school. As GE's Assistant Principal, I look forward to working with the faculty, staff, and community to serve our amazing Gonzales students!
