Read for at least 10 minutes a day and record in your reading log.
Spelling:
Learn 5 spelling words from your list.
Choose two different ways to practise them.
Choose a way from the front of your book to practice your spelling words.
Maths:
Purpose:
practice additions, subtraction, multiplication, division
Look for repeating patterns in the environment.
You will need:
Go for a walk or a drive and observe numbers and patterns in your environment/community or commute.
What to do:
Numbers: Spot a number and use it as a “Launchpad” for naming things that make it: Example “There’s a 12 on a letterbox, that's 3x4, 2x6, 10+2, 100–88, half of 24 etc".
Patterns: Look how fences are put together. How many palings for each post? How many short ones to how many long ones? Have people planted flowers or trees in patterns by colour or height or number? In tall buildings how are the windows arranged? Is there a pattern?
