Open up your web browser, go to google.com, and sign in with your school issued Google account by using the "Sign In" button in the top right hand corner.
Once signed in, click on the Google apps button by your account picture and click on the "Meet" icon.
When the Google Meet page has loaded, click on plus button to create a new Meet.
Type in the name for your Meet and click "Continue". It does not matter what you name it!
On the next screen, if you've never used Meet before, or if this is the first time you're accessing Meet from this device, it will request permissions to use your microphone and webcam. Click on "Allow".
In the bottom right hand corner of the preview window, click on the three vertical dots to open the "More Options" menu. Go through and make sure that the selections for the Microphone, Speakers, and Webcam are all correct.
Click on "Join Now" to start the Meet.
Once in the Meet, in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, click on "Present Screen", and click on "Your entire screen".
In the popup window, click on the thumbnail that shows your screen, and click "Share"
Now that your screen has been shared, in the bottom right hand corner of the window, click on the three vertical dots to open the "More Options" menu and click on "Record Meeting".
Click "Accept" to start recording.
In the upper left hand corner of the window, a record icon will appear and will go red when the recording starts.
Go through your digital lesson using your microphone, webcam, document camera, or whatever else you'd like to display on your screen.
When you're done, click on the "X" button on the browser tab the Google Meet is in to close the Google Meet.
Your Google Meet recording will be emailed to you, and can also be found in your Google Drive in the "Meet Recordings" folder. Google creates this folder for you when you record your first Google Meet.
NOTE: It will take quite a few minutes for your recordings to show up. Some of mine have taken as long as 30 minutes before Google made them available for viewing so don't worry if they don't show up instantly!
