Sign up for Voice and get your number

1. Find the welcome email you were sent for Google Voice.
2. Go to voice.google.com.
3. Sign in to your G Suite account (Google Account from your work or school).
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to get set up.
5. Set up other features in Voice, such as a voicemail greeting.

You need an address for emergency calls

If you call an emergency number while in your home country/region, Google Voice sends your service address to emergency services. Your organization adds the service address when it assigns you a Google Voice number. If you choose your own phone number, you add your service address when you sign up for Google Voice. You can't make calls without a service address.
