Class Routine:
We will always begin class with some form of "Good Things" and end with a "Launch."
I will always have an agenda posted on the board along with the objectives for that class period.
We will utilize a social contract to assist in establishing classroom guidelines and expectations.
We will vary our class activities to include writing, literature and grammar daily (ELA)
We will work to develop plans of attack and organizational skills through routine planning (Study Skills).
Mrs. Espinoza's Expectations of Herself:
I will be prepared and ready to go with my teaching materials for the class period.
I will provide students many opportunities to engage in taught material.
I will provide as many options and as much student choice in assignments and activites as possible.
I will do my best to incorporate as many visual, auditory, and kinesthetic representations of content as possible.
I will utilize assistive technology in class as a way to increase access to content.
I will create a positive and fun learning environment focused on humor and relationships to support all students.
Mrs. Espinoza's Expectations for Students:
Come prepared to class with materials.
Be on time and ready to learn.
Volunteer when you are able and participate as much as you can.
Be positive and kind to your classmates.
Assume positive intent from your peers.
NEVER GIVE UP - Be persistent in everything you do! Have a growth mindset.
Communicate with me about any obstacles or barriers so we can work together to find a solution.
