Hello! I am a graduate of Mulvane High School and I earned my Bachelors degree in Music Education from Wichita State University. I am an active performer in the Wichita area with frequent performances with the Wichita Wind Symphony. I have been teaching since 2020. I firmly believe that the act of creating music with others is an expression of love. I think this is why I am drawn so much to band.
Mr. Richey is the Assistant Director of Bands at Goddard, he also is the Director of Jazz Bands, and is proud to be the sponsor of the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) at Goddard High School.
"I don't play music because I think I'm great at it; I play because I think music is great and I want to be a part of it." // "To love music is to love others"
"This will be our response to violence; To make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before."
-Leonard Bernstein, Conductor.

"I am grateful to have been loved and to be loved now and to be able to love, because that liberates. Love liberates. It doesn't just hold- that's ego. Love liberates."
-Maya Angelou, Poet
