We are excited to share some important information about your child’s classroom this year.
This year, your child will be in a co-teaching classroom. This means that two teachers will be working together to provide the best possible learning experience for your student. With the benefit of co-teaching, we can offer more personalized instruction and support for each child.
In a co-teaching classroom, students will have the opportunity to work in smaller groups, allowing us to tailor instruction to their individual needs. This approach enables us to meet each student where they are and provide them with the tools they need to excel. This model supports all types of learners by allowing us to differentiate instruction for each student. It enables us to build on their strengths while also addressing their individual areas for growth.
We will also incorporate UDL, Universal Design for Learning, into our classroom. This will allow students to demonstrate their understanding of content in various ways.
We believe that incorporating UDL into our co-teach classroom model will greatly benefit your child’s learning and overall classroom experience. We are committed to ensuring that each student receives the support and attention they need to succeed.
If you have any questions or would like more information about the co-teaching model, please feel free to reach out to us. We are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth with your child.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Riggs & Mrs. Dodge
