A native of Ark City, Kansas, Coach Brunswig had deep roots in softball, having played a pivotal role in her high school team's success, including multiple state appearances and a championship win in 1996. As a standout pitcher, she initially pursued her passion at Wichita State University until an unexpected injury sidelined her just before the spring season. Undeterred, Amber pivoted her focus towards academics, earning her education degree in 2001. She embarked on a fulfilling career as a teacher in Newton, Kansas, where she dedicated 16 years to shaping young minds. In 2003, she embraced her coaching ambitions, lending her expertise to the Newton High School Softball team for six impactful years. Taking a hiatus to prioritize family, Amber returned to the diamond in 2018, answering the call to coach at Eisenhower High School.
She left her mark not just on the game, but on every heart she touched.
