Hi! My name is Kelli Hansard and I am so excited to be the Library Media Specialist at Challenger! More importantly, I am THRILLED to see your child each week during their library lessons! It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.

I was born and raised in Wichita. I went to the Wichita State University where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and received my Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Southwestern College.
I started my teaching career 22 years ago in USD 259 where I taught 3rd-5th grade at Cessna Elementary. I moved to Challenger in 2013 and spent the last 11 years as a 5th grade teacher. This is my first year as a librarian and I am very excited for this opportunity.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Glen and we are parents to four amazing humans! Braden is 27 years old and is a Civil Engineer in Fort Collins, CO. Johnathan is 22 and will be graduating with an accounting degree from K-State in December. Haylee is 20 years old and Katelyn is 19 years old. They are both busy with work and college, trying to figure out what to do with the rest of their lives. They have certainly kept Glen and I very busy over the years!
