About Mrs. Busby

Hello!  My name is Shanda Busby.  I am a graduate of Emporia State University with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with an endorsement in ESL. I also on my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State. This is my eighteenth year teaching. I taught 4th grade for five years and eight years at 3rd grade at Amelia Earhart Elementary School.  This is my fifth year teaching 6th grade social studies and first teaching 6th grade math at Challenger Intermediate School.

To me, teaching is a very rewarding profession. The students of today are the future of tomorrow. It is a teacher’s responsibility to prepare these students to be respectable, educated members of society. If they succeed in that, then I feel like I will succeed as a teacher.
