I’ve been teaching for decades, at public and private schools, high school and college. My favorite part of teaching is the enthusiasm that students bring to asking questions when they are genuinely curious about the world. I teach math because reason (logic) is enough to know when we have the right answer, although persistence is usually required too.
When I’m not teaching classes my interests include reading (not as much as I like), watching sports (more than I should), and paying attention to the news (not good for my blood pressure). One fun fact about me is that I own about twenty pounds of neckties.
