The Choirs of Lafayette

JOIN CHOIR!

Auditions will be held at the end of each spring semester. Current choir members will audition during their class period, and prospective members will audition after school on predetermined dates.

Students who are new to the Lafayette Country School District in the fall will be required to audition before adding choir to their schedule.

Current Choir Members:

4-8 measures of rhythmic sight reading (ta-ka-di-mi)
4-8 measures of melodic sight reading (solfege)
Tonal memory
Two teacher recommendation forms completed by the audition dates (Ms. Gadd has these forms)

Prospective Choir Members:

Tonal Memory
Rhythmic accuracy test
Sing "Happy Birthday" or "My Country 'Tis of Thee"
No sight reading is required for new members
Two teacher recommendation forms completed by the audition dates (Ms. Gadd has these forms)
