UPMC Shadyside Hospital
My name is Stephen Zarycranski of the class of 2016. I came to Church Farm School as an 8th grader looking for a more unique opportunity for my high school education. Being only fifteen minutes from CFS we were familiar with the school but never truly knew what it had to offer. Over my five years there, I formed many meaningful relationships with friends, teachers, coaches and more. I truly believe there are life lessons I learned at the farm that no other school could offer. The diversity of the student body helped me meet and learn about people from all different backgrounds.
After CFS, I attended Duquesne University where I was accepted into their Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. While there I also ran Division one track and field. Upon graduation in 2020 at the height of Covid I received my undergrad in both biology and health science. At that time, I was in the beginning of the professional phase of my physical therapy program. But I knew I wanted to do something else. I had decided I wanted to become a nurse as a I felt I had more of a calling to that field.
After leaving Duquesne I was accepted into the University of Pittsburgh’s accelerated BSN program. Within a year I had received my BS in nursing. At the time I was a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at UPMC Shadyside Hospital on the Medical Oncology floor. After two years as a PCT I accepted a position as Registered Nurse on the same floor. I spent two years full time there before I took a position as a Registered Nurse in the Oncology Resource Department as a floating nurse. I have loved my time as a nurse. It has been both rewarding yet challenging.

College Readiness
West Chester University
Hello! My name is Robbie Campbell and I’m a Spring 2025 Graduate at West Chester University. I majored in marketing and have a digital marketing minor. I work at McGinty Motorcars, a family owned classic car dealership in Reading, Pennsylvania, and help out with their marketing and car deliveries/pickups. My post-grad plans for the Summer are to relax and give myself a little bit of time to celebrate and enjoy life before I jump into the real world. My passion since I was young was Motorsport, and I’ve decided to carry that into my life. I have been racing professional go karts at the national level, which takes a lot of time and dedication- especially when balancing work, school, and even life in there as well. Fortunately, my time management and work load felt smooth and controllable for all 4 years- thanks to my experiences and lessons I’ve received from Church Farm School.
Villanova University
My name is Brandon Le, and I graduated from CFS in 2023. I’m currently attending Villanova University, where I’m co-majoring in Finance and MIS, and I’ve recently accepted an internship at SAP for this upcoming summer. I truly enjoyed my time at CFS, serving in student government, leading as the varsity lacrosse captain, and representing the school as a student ambassador. CFS played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today and prepared me for the next chapter in ways I couldn’t have imagined. The brotherhood at CFS is what makes it unique, and separates it from other schools. I’m excited for the opportunity to give back to the community that gave me so much.

Within just one year at Frostburg I’ve learned and experienced various aspects of college life that could be very beneficial to the students of Church Farm School. I would love to share my experience and insights on college life and help make the transition to University less stress inducing.
