Getting Know Mrs. Lewis

Greeting Parents/Guardian:

Hello! I would like to welcome you and your child to second grade!

My name is Kim Lewis, and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I am committed to doing everything within my power to make this year successful for all of us. There is great excitement building as the New Year begins. This is my eleventh year at Pinevale and my tenth year in second grade. I look forward to a  year filled with unlimited learning experiences and fun times.

I'm married with two sons. My oldest son lives in NY and my youngest son attends VSU. I'm from Fort Lauderdale, FL. My husband and I served in the military (Navy) which allowed us to travel to many places. I had the opportunity to travel to Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Italy, France, Sicily, Cuba and some other places.

Homework is assigned every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Students will bring home a communication folder with a behavior sheet, homework and other important papers, the behavior sheet will be sent home daily with the students daily behavior. Please read and sign their agendas and behavior sheets nightly and return the next day. The homework that is given is a review of what has been taught in class and skills that are needed. Please make sure your child comes to class prepared daily with needed materials.
