Hi! My name is Mrs. Cannister and I am the school counselor for first, third, and fifth grades here at Sallas Mahone. I earned my Master of Education in School Counseling in 2004 and have been an elementary school counselor ever since. I have been with Valdosta City Schools since 2008 (Go Cats!) and have spent all but two of those years here at Sallas Mahone. I am married and have three children. When I'm not at school, you might find me spending time with my family, working or playing outside, or aimlessly perusing Target.

Our school counseling program consists of classroom counseling lessons, small group counseling, individual counseling, parent/teacher consultations, and collaboration with community resources. We are glad that you are here and are happy to help you and your child in any way that we can.
