About me

My Name is Shelby Franzen, you can call me Ms. Franzen. I wanted to become a teacher after working at Pinecrest Grade School, helping students better their reading skills.

I have 3 degrees, all in science. My first degree is an associates is in Applied Science from Parkland College. My second degree is a Bachelor's from the University of Illinois in Agricultural Business: Crop Science. My Third and most recent degree is from Grand Canyon University, I earned a Masters in Secondary Education with a concentration in STEM education.

A little more about me. I have a dog named Daisey Mae, and a cat named Cornelius. Even though they are not people, they are my favorite 'people' to be around.

Last but not least, I am the Softball Coach at the Junior High and the High School for GRF. I love the game and can't wait to see all the new players joining us!
