Welcome to Ms. Rambadt's Teacher Page

Although I have been at Gobles for 23 years and most of you know me, I would like to share a few little ditties about myself.  I am a 1996 graduate of Allegan High School.  I grew up in Allegan, and I still call it home.  It was comforting to know that I would not be leaving behind the Tiger mascot because I found another Tiger pride pack right here in Gobles when I was hired to teach special education.

I attended Spring Arbor University from 1996-2001.  I loved the volleyball court in high school, and I carried that love over into college where I played all four years of my college career.  As much as I love volleyball, I have a secret that most people here in Gobles do not know about me:  I was actually a pretty good tennis player too, and I played one year of girls' tennis at Spring Arbor. Stepping right out of college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Sports Science and Elementary Education, I was grateful and blessed to be hired at Gobles Public Schools in the Fall of 2001. Teaching, coaching, and supporting students are what I live to do.

Knowing that I did not want to wait too long to pursue my next degree, I immediately enrolled at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) to pursue my Master's in Special Education, and I focused on Learning Disabled (LD) and Emotionally Impaired (EI) work.  Five years after beginning GVSU's Master's program, I was able to add a special education certification to my teaching certificate.

Because my love for students and athletics runs so strong in me, I have spent a combined 23 years coaching all levels of volleyball but the last 8 years as the varsity coach. I am currently coaching girls' varsity volleyball and girls' middle school track.  As a middle school and high school student-athlete, I know how much my extracurricular activities impacted my life and self-esteem.  My coaches (along with parents and teachers) believed in me and helped me grow into the teacher and athlete that I am today, and I want to be one of those teachers and coaches for the students at Gobles.
