SOS is a program designed to hep students understand personal struggles and ways to cope with them. Coping skills are referred to sources of strength. The sources explored are:
Family Support
Positive Friends
Mentors
Healthy Activities
Generosity
Spirituality
Physical Health
Mental Health
Generosity Campaign/Angel Tree
BJH peers work during November and December promoting the positive impact generosity can have on the giver and the receiver. The community is encouraged to get involved and raising money to purchase gifts for BISD families in need.
BE KIND Campaign
Students wrote kind deeds either received or given on hearts for everyone to see.

Scare Your Feelings Away
Students shared ways they cope with bad feelings. Coping skills were written on spiders and displayed on a web.
Nursing Home Cards
BISD students make Valentine's Day Cards and Christmas Cards for individuals in the local nursing home.
Students participate in "No One Eats Alone" week. Each day students are encouraged to eat with someone new during lunch and have a conversation with them.
