About ACSF

OUR Mission

We are an independent foundation to generate and endow funds to promote excellence in academics, the arts, athletics and to provide educational opportunities for all students and educators in the Ashland City School District.

ABOUT ACSF

ACSF was founded in 1994 by members of the Ashland High School Class of 1942 and Dr. R. Lee Schafer. It is a non-profit, independent, tax-exempt organization, having obtained articles of incorporation for the State of Ohio, a non-profit, bulk mail permit from the United States Postal Service and tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.

While ACSF is not directly affiliated with the Ashland City Schools or the Board of Education, foundation trustees work closely with school officials to determine what types of educational materials and programs deserve to be supported by the Ashland City Schools Foundation.

Since 1994, ACSF has generated close to $1 million in donations from AHS alumni, retired teachers, corporations, foundations and friends. These funds are used throughout the year to support Ashland City Schools with teacher grants and other special programs/contributions. These financial gifts are made possible by the donations received, as well as earned income and interest from the endowment fund.

All contributions from the Ashland City Schools Foundation are designated to provide educational opportunities for all students and educators in the Ashland City School District.
