Arrival and Departure Information
Steps to follow to enter the ELC Building
Please watch this video to see the required steps to drop your child(ren) off in the morning. Unfortunately, parents/caretakers/drivers will not be allowed into the building.
Protocol for Student Arrivals
Please make sure that all adults are wearing masks. According to Romanian regulations, children attending preschools are not required to wear masks in school.
Parents and children enter through the acclimatisation tent making sure to maintain two metres distance from the people in front of you.
Please use the hand disinfection units that will be placed before the main doors.
Enter through the main doors into the foyer where our thermo-scanner will record your temperature.
If your temperature is normal, your child can take off their outdoor shoes and be released into the inside lobby area. Parents/drivers will say goodbye to the children in the thermal scanner foyer and will need to then exit the building by going back through the acclimatization tent.
From the lobby area, our administrative assistant/s and/or pedagogical coordinator will direct students to meet with their teacher (or teaching assistant) stationed in a designated waiting area in the main piazzas. Floor signs will be in place to support this transition.
The teacher or teaching assistant will then accompany the children directly to their homeroom classroom. Prior to entering, the children will place their belongings and outerwear, onto their designated trolley, located outside of their classroom. Here, they will change into their indoor shoes and upon entering the classroom, children will routinely wash their hands.
Route for families walking from the
Ibiza Side Gate
When entering from the Ibiza side gate, please follow the signs and the path displayed in this video.
Dismissal Procedures
At dismissal time, parents will need to pick up their children from the outside classroom door of the child's homeroom teacher, following the steps explained in this video. Detailed maps will be shared with families highlighting the routes to each classroom (from the parking lot and from the Ibiza Gate).
Protocols for Students Riding the Bus

Hand Washing Routines
Students will need to wash their hands when they enter the classroom. Here is Dr. Anita explaining the proper way to wash hands.
Parent Portal: Veracross
AISB also uses Veracross as a student information system, where administrators and teachers keep attendance records and send communications home. The Parent Portal connects several links and offers parents a one-stop-shop across the three divisions if they have more than one child enrolled at the school.
To log into Veracross, go to https://portals.veracross.eu/aisbucharest/parent
If you are unsure about your username or password, click can't access your account? on the login window, where you will be prompted to enter your email address; then, click Send Instructions. An email will be sent to you with the information you require.
In case you did not receive an email notification, or are having other difficulties logging in, please reach out to Ms. Laura Amza, our IT Manager.
Two-Minute Veracross Overview
Take a look at this quick tutorial showing you the main features of the parent portal, including how you may notify the school about any attendance changes.
