Granada
We are pleased to announce that Granada will be hosting the 8th ISPNR. It is a historic and culturally vibrant city in southern Spain, renowned for its unique blend of Moorish and European heritage. Set at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, it is home to the Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most iconic monuments in Europe.
Recommendations
Granada: We strongly recommend visiting the city center, the Cathedral, Plaza Nueva, Paseo de los Tristes and Albaicin. You can visit the gardens around the Alhambra and Carlos V palace (free of charge). Moreover, going out for tapas is the best way to get to know the center of Granada and the local cuisine.

Visit the Alhambra: It is strongly recommended that this visit should be planned in advance. Tickets can be purchased here.
Hiking options: Granada is close to several National Parks, one of which is Sierra Nevada. You can go by car or bus, and it is just 30 minutes from Granada. More information can be found here Sierra Nevada.
Sierra de Huétor: Another National Park close to Granada with several hiking options is the Sierra de Huétor. More information here.
Gorafe Megalithic Park (Gorafe): This National Park is 40 minutes from Granada and contains more than 240 Neolithic dolmens and an amazing geography. In one day, you could visit the park, the city of Guadix with its famous caves and the Calahorra Castle. More information can be found here.
Costa Tropical and Costa del Sol: It is only an hour's drive from Granada, so you can easily visit the beautiful Mediterranean towns of Salobreña, Almuñecar, La Herradura (Marina del Este), and Nerja and Cuevas de Nerja (on the Costa del Sol, Málaga). Important: You can visit all of them in one day, but you will need a car. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Tourist Office in Granada.
