I am a PhD in Terrestrial Ecology and posdoctoral researcher at Estación Biológica de Doñana - CSIC (Spain). I have 18 publications: 16 original articles published in WOS-indexed journals (Q1=10, Q2=4, Q3=2), 1 book chapter and 1 scientific note. I am lead author of nine of my publications, having 176 citations in WOS (181 in Scopus, 237 in Google Scholar), and a H Index of 10. My scientific results has been presented in 7 national and 14 international congresses and conferences, both in oral (15) and poster formats (14). I have peer-reviewed 10 papers for 8 journals.Throughout my research career I have obtained 8 competitive grants: one as a teaching assistant (9 months), one predoctoral training (4 years), one predoctoral national research stay (4 months), three predoctoral international research stays (13 months in total), a postdoctoral international placement divided between France (12 months) and Spain (12 months), and a postdoctoral national position (3 years). I have taught ~300 h of bachelor-level courses, including different subjects in the degree of Biology and Environmental Sciences at UAB and UGR, co-supervision of 3 Thesis Ms and, currently, a Doctoral Thesis at UGR.I have participated in 11 funded projects, including 2 as principal investigator.
research profile
My main research has focused on the study of direct and indirect effects of plant-plant (chemical responses) and plant-animal interactions(arthropod communities associated to plant parasite-host systems), and their ecological consequences in a wide range of scales, from species to ecosystems. In collaboration with international universities and the Ecological and Forestry Applications Research Centre (CREAF), I have studied the responses and adaptations of biological diversity, especially ants, to disturbances and climate change. Besides, I have worked with the Pollination Ecology and Ecological Interactions group at CREAF, studying pollinator communities and their interactions with nest associates. In the last three years, I developed a new line of research focuses on systematic reviews and meta-analysis with international collaborators in the framework of different projects, such as theproject on the use of sowing and planting in ecosystem restoration and the wildE project on rewilding funded by Horizon Europe in collaboration with UGR and INRAE (France), respectively. At the same time, I participate in a European networking of a COST action (PEN-CAFoRR: Working Group 3).Currently, I joined to EBD-CSIC as a posdoctoral researcher conducting systematic maps and meta-analyses on ecological and social topics.
