The purpose of this project is to repackage the theories detailed in the scholarly text Propaganda and Persuasion by Garth S. Jowett and Victoria O’Donnell in a visual format. I chose to craft my video in a patchwork style, using snippets of video footage from a wide variety of sources and stitching them together to present the main points of the scholarly text as a narrative. This piece is intended to be a textual equivalent of “easy listening” - it does not ask too much of the viewer, and is subliminal in nature.
This piece was nominated for Stockton's Kennedy-Gregg award.
The purpose of this project was to produce and circulate a visual text that serves as a meme.
