Kristallnacht: November Pogrom of 1938 11/7/22
Hearing directly from survivors and families of survivors of the Holocaust, it was important to hear of the experiences they went through regarding Kristallnacht, where Jewish people were incarcerated. The children of the Holocaust were directly impacted, and South Jersey Jews were able to speak about the persecution and related events. The violence against people, property and symbolic artifacts paid a heavy toll on the Jewish population.
Learning about the truth of Thanksgiving in her Ethnography of the US class, Heather decided to teach the honors program about the dominant paradigm of the story of Thanksgiving, compared to the real story. Students should know the true story of Thanksgiving and the genocide behind the holiday.
