About the Librarian

Hi! My name is Allison Craig and I am the librarian at Homestead Elementary. This is my fourth year as a librarian, but my 19th year in education. I have taught first grade, second grade, and special education. I also spent several years as a substitute teacher, which gave me a wide scope of experiences! I have been married for 16 years and we have one daughter who is in eighth grade at Forestwood Middle School. I love to read and travel and visit with my family.

Being a librarian is the best job in the school! I am able to work with every student at Homestead which is extremely rewarding. I love helping students find books that they see themselves in and books in which they can see others.
