West Hants Education Centre
was established and began accepting grade 10 and 11 students in September 2006. Our school offers a flexible learning environment that follows an alternative approach to learning. Small class sizes, hands-on opportunities, and experiential activities offer hope to students who have not experienced success in a regular classroom environment.
In 2018, WHEC began offering a middle-level program for students in grade 8 or 9 who would benefit from an alternative school experience.
As of the 2020-21 academic year, WHEC began offering grade 12 level courses and graduating students from the school.
