From February - June 2025 Windsor Adult High School is offering a Food and Hospitality Certificate Program for students 18 years and older, completely FREE of cost! Gain valuable employability and life skills by submitting your Expression of Interest today.
The Food and Hospitality Certificate Program offered at Windsor Adult High School will provide learners aged 18+ with the essential skills, competencies, and work experience needed for entry-level employment in the food and hospitality industry.
Students will also develop essential employability skills, including teamwork, communication, independence, and problem-solving.
Participants will earn Nova Scotia High School Graduation Credits in Culinary Trades 11, Food and Hospitality 12, Workplace Health & Safety 11, Career Development 11, and Co-Operative Education 12.
Completing these courses will lead to a Food and Hospitality Certificate through the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education and be used toward a Nova Scotia High School Graduation Diploma!
Through the Co-Operative Education 12 course, students will complete at least 80 hours of unpaid work experience in the food and hospitality industry.
This authentic on-the-job experience prepares students to work in restaurants, cafes, bars, catering companies, bakeries cafeterias, private kitchens, and more!
