Specialists and CYCPs actively model and support the implementation of effective strategies, strengthening professional learning and building capacity for all staff.
The Integrated Student Services Support Team Model places the student at the center, surrounded by multiple layers of support. The school team (administrators, teachers, counsellors, and support staff) works directly with students each day, while the Family of Schools team (consultants, PPST, FOSS, and CYCPs) provides additional guidance and coordination. Regional teams add further expertise through specialists such as interventionists, coaches, SchoolsPlus, psychologists, and speech-language pathologists. Beyond the education system, outside agencies—including health, social services, RCMP, and community organizations—contribute wraparound support. Together, these interconnected teams collaborate to ensure students’ academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
