Imhotep’s Legacy Academy (ILA) is an academic enrichment program, affiliated with Dalhousie University, which aims to increase the representation of African Canadians in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) professions. Canadian Association for Girls in Science
The Halifax CAGIS Chapter is a monthly STEM club for girls, non-binary, and gender non-conforming youth ages 11-16. Each month we meet to visit different workplaces and role models, and engage in hands-on activities. The goal of our club is to expose youth to exciting STEM opportunities and fields of work, all while encouraging inclusion and uplifting the voices of diverse identities.

Seniors in our area are looking for students to help with lawnmowing, gardening, and general yard work. Details about rate of pay, hours of work and transportation are arranged between the senior and the student.
