Good morning!
My name is Jahsara, and I am the Youth Program Coordinator for Business is Jammin’ (BIJ). BIJ is a charitable youth initiative that focuses on motivating Black and racially visible youth in Nova Scotia through entrepreneurship.
BIJ shapes youth into vibrant members of the business community. We work with young people through a range of educational, social, mentorship, and financial support programs to build business acumen and leadership skills.
BIJ would love to bring its Role Models on the Road program to your school this year! This program invites young, Black entrepreneurs and career professionals to visit junior high and high schools across the province to engage with students. Our speakers inspire students by sharing their personal experiences in overcoming adversity, pursuing education, taking on leadership roles, and more.
Our goal in running this program is to provide an interactive platform for students to learn about entrepreneurship as a career choice, and to discover other interesting new career options. Overall, our speakers encourage the younger generation to go out and be the best they can possibly be.
We would like to set up a panel discussion that will include no more than four career professionals. We are asking your school to dedicate 60-90 minutes of time to this session, and to ensure approximately 50 students or less are in attendance.
Please respond to this email by confirming if this date and time works for you:
