What We Are Working On

Learning Goals:

Math-

• Students will be expected to use estimation strategies, including front-end, front-end adjusted, rounding and compatible numbers, in problem solving contexts.

• Students will be expected to solve multiplication and division problems with a variety of strategies.

• Students will work with numbers up to 1 000 000 and represent the number in a variety of ways.

• Addition and Subtraction strategies

Language Arts-

• Write for a variety of audiences, to persuade, inform and entertain.

• Combine relevant information from a variety of text and put it into my own words.

• Build on reading stamina, fluency, accuracy and comprehension when reading independently

Science

• • Discuss weather and impacts of extreme weather.

  • Identify and explain weather tools.

Social Studies

• Demonstrate an understanding of the diverse societies of First Nations and Inuit, in what later became Canada
