4-H is a youth development organization where members can gather life skills and livestock experience, but then they also gain skills like public speaking and judging while making friends, connections and networking. Berwick Junior Curling Program - a fun way for 6 - 18 year olds to stay active, make friends, and develop teamwork skills all while enjoying a lifelong sport! Mondays from 5:30pm until 7pm for beginners and curlers under 11 years of age. Registration Day is Saturday, September 27th from 1 to 3pm at the Berwick Curling Club. Recreation Financial Assistance Programs; sharing once again as fall is a busy time for registrations.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program Individual Child Grants
Sometimes, families need financial assistance to get their kids into a sport or physical activity. We're committed to helping all families access a range of activities, from boxing to bowling and skating to skiing, and more. Please note that, Individual Child Grant applications may no longer be accepted at your local Chapter. Please register/log in to your Jumpstart account to confirm the Chapter's status.
The Jumpstart Fund is available to children between the ages of 4-18 years old and online applications must include proof of financial need. All questions about this fund can be directed to jumpstart@cantire.com.
KidSport provides grants to kids (18 years old or younger) from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Nova Scotia provides grants of up to $500 per eligible kid, per year (January 1st - December 31st) towards sport registration and equipment fees.
Application deadlines are January 2, March 3, May 1, June 2, July 2, September 2, October 1, and November 3.
