High School Summative Assessments – Rescheduling Procedures
In preparation for the High School Summative Assessments scheduled for the end of the month, the information below provides direction regarding assessment procedures and rescheduling in the event of class cancellations.
Assessment Rescheduling:
If classes are cancelled at school for any reason during the final week of January and assessments need to be rescheduled, the assessment schedule will shift forward by one day.

The NS Examination English 10 is scheduled during and extended first period on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27. Any cancellations between January 26 and 29 will follow the rescheduling process above.
Any alternative form of summative assessment not included in the scheduled assessment calendar will be completed during regular class time and communicated directly by the classroom teacher.
High School Assessment and Evaluation Day (Grades 9–12 Teachers):
The Assessment and Evaluation Day, currently scheduled for Friday, January 30, will also shift if a scheduled assessment day is cancelled.
the Assessment and Evaluation Day will move to Monday, February 2.
There are no classes for Grades 9–12 students on the Assessment and Evaluation Day.
Return to Semester Two Classes:

If two assessment days are cancelled, second semester classes will begin on Wednesday, February 4.
Dear Families,
We have been having some major safety/traffic issues at the student drop off location by the D building in the morning and after school.
As a result, we will have security posted there a week to help inform parents/guardians of this safety issue. We need to keep the traffic flowing and not block exits/entrances of the Fire Station or the School. This is necessary to help ensure safety of students, staff and other members of our community.
We appreciate your patience and kindness as we make these changes. As always, please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you
