No Cell Phones, Airpods or Headphones in the Gym (put them in your locker)
COURSE GOAL
Students will understand the relationship between physical fitness and physical activity and living a healthy and balanced life.
CURRICULAR OUTCOMES
To promote students’ personal fitness and encourage their involvement in physical fitness and physical activity, not only during physical education class, but also as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle.
COURSE EXPECTATIONS
RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, TEAMWORK, SAFETY AND SPORTSMANSHIP
Show respect for classmates and teachers
Work cooperatively with classmates and no put downs
Use equipment appropriately
Stay with the class; arrive on time and don’t leave early
Demonstrate fair play, polite behavior
Come to class ON TIME and be changed and ready to go on time
Dress in appropriate PE clothes: shorts/pants, t-shirt, sweatshirt, socks, and sneakers. Be prepared to stay inside or to go outside for class.
ASSESSMENT
Daily Mark out of 4
Based on Effort, participation, skill, cooperation with others, respect for yourself, others and environment.
MEDICAL
If you have a physical injury that prohibits or limits your physical activity, a note/email is needed from your physician or your guardian.
The note must include all days in which you cannot participate or your limitations.
EQUIPMENT
Indoor PE equipment cannot be used during lunch. There will be a bin (located on basketball court) with equipment that can be used.
