Language Arts

What is Language Arts?
Language Arts is a term used to include all areas of communicating in English whether written or spoken. In school the subject areas include reading, word study (spelling), grammar and writing. The Language arts grade includes speaking and listening, reading and writing. The Language Arts grade focuses on assessing your child's understanding of writing and speaking in proper English. Weekly grammar skills, writing stories, reports, and speeches are all included in the language grade.
Your child will be learning specific rules for identifying and using all of the parts of speech including: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, pronouns, conjunctions, and interjections.
