Welcome to the Leslie Thomas Junior High School Band Program.

We have band classes in grades 6, 7, and 8, as well as extra-curricular ensembles to enrich students' music education and to extend their musical abilities, such as jazz band and tour band. You will find information here throughout the year, especially new things that will be happening with band or things students have done in the past.
You will also find all communication plans for art, music and band.

Our Winter Concert!
Featuring all of LT band students and groups!
A brand new keyboard!
A new keyboard for the school for students to play on!
Alberta comes to Lower Sackville!
The whole school was able to attend, watching the performance of a High School 65-piece ensemble, who was visiting from Didsbury, Alberta. They toured and performed in different parts of Nova Scotia and PEI, and LT is the Junior High School that was asked to host!
Along with the Alberta Band, LT's Tour band played with this group at the end of the concert. They were able to play along with some exceptional students and learned more about their instruments.
Band Spark Day!
Grade 6’s across all of Halifax got together to play together and learn from experts on their instruments, and they even played a concert at the end of the day!
Our Spring Concert
Featuring all of the LT students, and even a performance of all of the students playing one song together!
End of the year Potluck Party!
Students in the jazz band and tour band had a potluck party at the end of the year as a thank you for all of their extra time and efforts they put in for the year.
The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo!
All band students got to go on a class trip to watch the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo! Such a joy and so inspiring to watch.
